Concord – The New Hampshire Medical Society will be honoring State Senator Jeb Bradley
for his support and leadership of key issues affecting health care in New Hampshire. Senator
Bradley will receive the Certificate of Appreciation at the Medical Society’s Annual Scientific
Conference, October 27th in Portsmouth.

“I believe that Senator Bradley has gone above and beyond his colleagues in making New
Hampshire a better place to practice medicine. We are honored to award Senator Bradley with
this certificate of appreciation,” said Dr. Cynthia Cooper, NHMS President.
“I am honored to receive this recognition from the New Hampshire Medical Society,” Bradley
said. “I believe we were able to successfully pass some significant legislation this year that
affects individuals and those within the medical and health care communities so we may
provide the best, safest and most affordable health care possible. I was proud to be the prime
sponsor of the Prescription Monitoring Program to make it more difficult for drug abusers to
inappropriately access drugs, and of tort reform legislation. I also am glad we successfully
blocked the raiding of the medical malpractice fund (JUA). These funds are intended for the
use of and paid for by members of the medical community and never should have been viewed
as an ATM for the General Fund.”.

The 2012 Legislator of the Year is presented to Senator Jeb Bradley for his tireless efforts as prime sponsor, knowledgeable and forceful advocate, engaged collaborator, and thoughtful strategist in support of SB 286.  For those in the audience who know or have worked with Senator Bradley during his years of public service as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, a member of the United States House of Representatives, and currently as a member and Majority Leader of the New Hampshire Senate, you know that among his many accomplishments is membership in the Four Thousand  Footer Club – which signifies that he has climbed all 48 peaks in New Hampshire above 4000 feet, and that he has accomplished winter ascents of all these peaks.  → Read more

NH Municipal Association Honors NH State Senator Jeb Bradley

Concord, NH—New Hampshire State Senator Jeb Bradley (R) was honored today by the New Hampshire Municipal Association (NHMA) for his leadership on public pension reform legislation.

In a presentation by Steve Fournier, chairman of NHMA’s Municipal Advisory Committee, Senator Bradley received a certificate of appreciation, which reads, in part, “NHMA sincerely appreciates your advocacy on behalf of cities and towns, by sponsoring and supporting legislation designed to address the financial impact of public sector pensions on property taxpayers statewide.” → Read more

Senate Bill 218 sponsored by Jeb Bradley has been signed into law by Governor Lynch. Bradley’s legislation which received bipartisan support is intended to enhance opportunities for existing producers of renewable energy in New Hampshire especially biomass production and small hydroelectric facilities.

Bradley said that the previous law had made it difficult for long term facilities that had been producing electricity to stay in business while helping new facilities go into operation. “I felt it was important to level the playing field so that existing plants were not disadvantaged,” said Bradley. → Read more

New legislation SB-203 sponsored by Senator Jeb Bradley(R) Wolfeboro has been signed into law by Governor Lynch. Bradley said passage of the legislation was the top priority of the New Hampshire Business and Industry Association, the state’s largest business advocacy group. The legislation was also supported by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce.

Bradley said the legislation was necessary to ensure that the requirements for creation of an LLC or limited liability company were as user friendly as possible and that NH’s filing requirements for an LLC made doing business in New Hampshire more attractive than other states. The original New Hampshire LLC law was enacted in 1993 and in the twenty years since then other states had moved ahead of New Hampshire in terms of ease of filing. LLCs are by far and away the most common form of business organization not only for small businesses but for some larger ones as well. There are over 50,000 LLCs in New Hampshire. → Read more

(Concord, NH) – Jeb Bradley filed for re-election today for the New Hampshire Senate in District 3 which includes all Carroll County communities as well as Milton, Middleton, and Waterville Valley. Since winning a special election in 2009, Bradley has served two terms in the Senate and since 2010 has served as Majority Leader.
